At Pot en Ciel, we provide a relaxing, creative and supportive environment where people of all ages and artistic abilities can paint unique pieces of ceramics.
Also known as a ceramic painting café (we serve delicious cakes made by The Little Bakery of Happiness, tea and coffee) located in the Mezzanine at The Emporium, Nene Court, Wellingborough, we offer a wide range of bisque* (blank ceramic) for you to paint, a space where you can discover your potential and as much help as you need to paint your own ceramics.

How does it work?
It really is super simple and anyone can create beautiful and unique pieces of painted ceramic.

Choose what you want to paint
We have a huge choice of blank ceramics.

Select your colours and tools
from our range of more than 30 colours and from a selection of sponges, stencils, silk screens etc.

Explore different techniques
and paint your bisque (the blank ceramic item you've chosen)*. Take as long as you need, there is no rush, we want you to relax and enjoy the process.

When you have finished
simply leave your 'work of art' with us, and we will glaze and fire it for you.

Collect your beautiful creation
from us a week later and, maybe, start on your next masterpiece?
*In ceramics,"bisque" refers to ware that has been fired once and has no chemically bonded water left in the clay.
Bisque is a true ceramic material, although the clay body has not yet reached maturity. This stage is also sometimes called biscuit or bisc.
